SMS Terms & Opt-In
How Prosperity Recovery Services uses text messages to communicate with clients.
Last updated:
Program description
Prosperity Recovery Services operates an SMS program that we use to communicate with people who have asked us to look into a surplus-funds claim on their behalf, or who have submitted a free claim review request through our website. Messages may include status updates on your claim, requests for documents we need to file, appointment reminders, and follow-ups when we have a question for you. We do not use SMS for promotional advertising of unrelated products or services.
How to opt in
You opt in to our SMS program in one of these ways:
- By checking the SMS consent box on our free claim review form at prosperityrecoveryservices.com and submitting the form with your phone number.
- By providing your phone number directly to one of our representatives during a phone or email conversation about your claim and confirming you would like text-message follow-ups.
- By texting our toll-free number to start a conversation about your claim.
SMS consent is never a condition of using our free claim review service. If you prefer to communicate by phone or email only, simply leave the SMS checkbox unchecked or tell us so directly — your claim will be evaluated the same way.
Message frequency
Message frequency varies based on the activity on your claim. During an active claim, you may receive several messages a week (for example, when we need a document from you). During quieter periods you may receive only one or two messages a month. We aim to keep volume to what is genuinely useful for moving your claim forward.
Cost
Message and data rates may apply, depending on your wireless plan. Prosperity Recovery Services does not charge a fee for any SMS message we send.
Carrier-supported keywords
Reply with any of the following keywords at any time:
- STOP — opts you out of all future SMS messages from Prosperity Recovery Services. We will send one confirmation message and then no further messages. You may continue to opt back in later by contacting us.
- HELP — sends you a short reply explaining how to reach a person, including our toll-free number and email address.
- You may also reply with any other words to communicate with the representative handling your claim. Replies are received during business hours and answered as soon as possible.
Privacy of your phone number
We treat your phone number as confidential. We do not sell, rent, or share your phone number, opt-in status, or SMS conversation content with any third party for that party's marketing purposes. We may share information with the licensed attorneys we engage on your behalf, with government offices to file your claim, and with service providers (such as our SMS platform) who need it to operate our service — under written confidentiality obligations. See our full Privacy Policy for details.
Carriers
Carriers including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, US Cellular, and others are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Supported phones
Most U.S. wireless carriers and SMS-capable phones are supported. We do not offer this SMS program in countries outside the United States.
